Teach & Lead- An abridged QTS and PGCE salaried route for quality career changers.

We are 1 of only 9 teacher training providers chosen to offer a fast-track route into teaching Maths or Physics.

Impact on the teaching of Maths and Physics and progress rapidly in a new career in teaching NOW.

This is a salaried route, where you will gain a PGCE with QTS in just 2 terms, as well as 60 Masters Level credits. Throughout your training you will be provided with an inspiring and experienced school-based mentor.

Criteria

Degree

3rd class degree or above as long as you have achieved a grade B or above at A Level.

Experience

You should have three years' employment experience following graduation, though we will consider graduates with a minimum of one years' employment experience where they can demonstrate a strong commitment to developing a career in teaching through other means. Employment does not have to be within the education sector, and applications are welcome from those considering a career change

You should also have a demonstrable interest in teaching within Maths or Physics. You could show this in a number of ways time spent in schools, knowledge of the Maths/Physics curriculum area, relevant practical experience. A minimum of 10 days experience of working in a UK secondary school is normally required prior to commencing the programme. We can help to arrange this for successful applicants.

GCSE

Nationally, all Secondary Initial Teacher Training courses require GCSE qualifications at grade C or above (or the equivalent) in Mathematics and English Language at the time of application.

Please note that original evidence of GCSE achieved and degree (if already achieved) will be required at interview. For the purpose of initial teacher training, level 2 numeracy and literacy qualifications are not considered as equivalent to GCSE grade C in mathematics or English.
